Jimmer Fredette is one of the leading canidates for national player of the year this year in college basketball. Over his four seasons playing at BYU, Fredette became one of the most dangerous offensive players in the country. He filled up box scores while doing damage inside and outside of the arc. One possesion he would pull up from ten feet behind the arc. The next time down the floor he could take his man all the way to the basket. Jimmer led the nation in scoring this year, and more importantly, led his team to a conference championship, and a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament. Despite the absence on their team's leading rebounder, BYU, led by Jimmer, made it to the sweet 16. In a hard fought battle against Florida, Jimmer lost his last game at the college level. Despite a 32 point effort by Fredette, the Gators were able to pull out the overtime victory. He has a very bright future, and he is NBA bound next season.
